YOU’VE GOT QUESTIONS, WE’VE GOT ANSWERS.

Here are a few of the most Frequently Asked Questions from our customers. Have a question you think we should add? Let us know by sending our team a message on the contact page.

Why Buy Vintage?

Purchasing slightly-used clothing means one less article that has to be made. That means reducing our intake of textile materials and in turn, our overall carbon footprint. A majority of vintage garments are also more durable than many items made today, and therefore, last longer. (Seriously… Have you seen the dates on some of these items?)

Lastly, buying from Too Hot Vintage means supporting small business. If you’re from the Northeast Ohio area where we’re is based, this means supporting your local economy as well. Keep the culture alive with these timeless, authentic pieces that will never go out of style.

Where Do These Items Come From?

Too Hot Vintage receives its products through a multitude of different sources. These methods include thrifting at state-wide establishments and events, bidding at online auctions, foraging through friends and family’s forgotten treasures, and basically any other way we can think of. Really, no strategy is off-limits; The wider the net, the greater the catch.

One of the final ways we acquire our products is perhaps one of the most conventional ways … From YOU. Too Hot Vintage will buy your gently used vintage items FOR CASH if we feel the opportunity is appropriate. Pieces are quoted and approved on a case-by-case basis with no purchase guarantees. Interested in submitting your piece for an appraisal? Send us a message today on the Contact page with the subject “Sell Your Stuff”.

How Do You Determine Your Measurements?

Our clothing measurements are done in a uniform and orderly manner, ensuring consistency among all the items listed. Chest Measurements are taken horizontally from pit-to-pit. Length Measurements span from the highest point on the collar to the hem, or lowest part of the shirt. Lastly, Sleeve Measurements (only denoted on long sleeve pieces) reflect the length from the wrist to the highest point on the shoulder. For best accuracy while shopping, try comparing measurements on items you already own to listings you see on the site. Products also include the item’s authentic size as listed on the original tag, whenever such information is available.

What Is Your Return Policy?

Unfortunately due to shipping expenses and the variation of quality naturally found among our in items, all sales are final and Too Hot Vintage will not refund any orders on purchased items. We strive to provide detailed explanations of the pieces and their condition in all our product listings and also include measurements on each item to help you find your perfect fit. One last reminder - All items on our site are slightly-used unless otherwise specified.

What Is The Difference Between Retro and Vintage?

Great question. By definition, vintage items are pieces that are over 20 years old. In many cases, Too Hot Vintage expands these boundaries by including any items 18 years or older to be considered vintage products. Retro items tare typically between 8-15 years old, with some additional room for inclusion. The term “retro” could also refer to a style that was prominent in a previous time, but has since become outdated. Modernized items have generally been released within the past 4-6 years.

How Long Should I Wait Before Expecting My Item To Arrive?

When you order an item from Too Hot Vintage, you should receive an email confirming your order was placed. After that, please allow approximately 3-5 business days for your item to ship. Once it ships, you can expect to receive another email with your order’s tracking number, so that you can monitor the delivery status at your leisure.
